Model-Predictive-Control-Based Reference Governor for Fuel Cells in Automotive Application Compared with Performance from a Real Vehicle

چکیده

In this paper, a real-time capable reference governor superordinate model predictive controller (RG-MPC) is developed for fuel cell (FC) control suitable automotive application. The RG-MPC provides trajectories the subordinate proportional-integral (PI) controllers, which act directly on FC system. Antiwindup and decoupling schemes, are common problems in multivariable PI control, unnecessary, given that can inherently consider constraints systems. dynamics incorporated into prediction used ensuring feasibility of provided references controllers. successive linearization technique to cope with model’s nonlinear nature real-time. concept has been illustrated simulation scenario featuring efficient safe power an stack application using real driving data obtained from in-house-built vehicle. This work first step towards upgrading existing, PI-based scheme without necessity completely rebuilding interface.

Model predictive control for automotive time-delay processes: An application to air-to-fuel ratio control ⋆

To meet increasingly stringent emission regulations modern internal combustion engines require highly accurate control of the air-to-fuel ratio. The performance of the conventional air-to-fuel ratio feedback loop is limited by the combustion delay between fuel injection and engine exhaust, and by the transport delay for the exhaust gas to propagate to the air-to-fuel ratio sensor location. The ...

Reference Governor for Constrained Piecewise Affine Systems. A Vehicle Dynamics Control Application

In this paper we present a novel approach to the design of reference tracking controllers for constrained, discrete-time piecewise affine systems and apply it to a vehicle yaw control problem. The paper is divided in two parts. In the first part, we present a methodology for designing reference tracking controllers for constrained, discrete-time piecewise affine systems. The approach follows th...

Reference Governor Strategies for Vehicle Rollover Avoidance

The paper addresses the problem of vehicle rollover avoidance using reference governors applied to modify the driver steering input in vehicles with an active steering system. Several reference governor designs are presented and tested with a detailed nonlinear simulation model. The vehicle dynamics are highly nonlinear for large steering angles, including the conditions where the vehicle appro...

Designing a novel structure of explicit model predictive control with application in a buck converter system

This paper proposes a novel structure of model predictive control algorithm for piecewise affine systems as a particular class of hybrid systems. Due to the time consuming and computational complexity of online optimization problem in MPC algorithm, the explicit form of MPC which is called Explicit MPC (EMPC) is applied in order to control of buck converter. Since the EMPC solves the optimizati...

a new type-ii fuzzy logic based controller for non-linear dynamical systems with application to 3-psp parallel robot

abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...
